About This Spot

Junction 8 Cafe perches quietly at the edge of Reigate Hill’s National Trust car park, a charming little retreat where the rhythm slows just enough to let the surrounding nature breathe. Arriving here, you’re greeted by an open-air setting that invites you to pause, whether you’re coming off a woodland walk or simply drifting by to soak in the views. The hum of passing cars nearby is a gentle reminder of the world beyond, but the calm outdoor seating encourages you to settle in and savor a moment to yourself or with company.

This is a neighborhood spot with a welcoming spirit—unpretentious and genuine, marked by staff who clearly know the value of friendly gestures. It’s the kind of place where your dog might get a quick treat, your daughter’s birthday might be quietly celebrated, and the barista’s care is as evident in the carefully grated chocolate topping your cappuccino as it is in the way they remember regulars.

The menu lives comfortably between simple and thoughtful, offering a range of comforting wraps, bagels, and vegan options that cater to various tastes without fuss. It’s the kind of food that matches the mood here: unhurried and satisfying. From a cup of tea with oat milk to a refreshing gelato after a stroll, each choice feels like a small, deliberate pleasure that complements the fresh air and open sky.

While there’s an absence of indoor shelter, the outdoor benches and tables cradle you in views that stretch wide — a perfect vantage point for watching the gentle shifts of the day. Clean and quietly maintained, the locale is an easy spot to return to time and again, whether for an early breakfast sarnie or a midday break that tastes like a fresh breeze.

The park itself is lovely and I would recommend walking to find a more secluded/quieter spot. The seating area is right by the car park and Cars driving through can just be less peaceful. The food is delicious. Very generous with the ice cream serving. Very friendly staff. The manager made a little fuss of my daughter as it was her birthday which was really nice.We will definitely return to junction 8 for more glorious food

We ordered a small cappucino with soya milk. There was extra chocolate grated on top. Delicious! Also, a large cup of tea with oat milk, which was good!

This is the best trail-side cafe I have visited in the past 2 years of long distance path walking. Great range of drinks and different food menu. Just what we needed today. We ordered the goats cheese wrap (excellent) and the Bangkok Bad Boy (needed some extra siracha)

Junction 8 Cafe: the M25's secret saviour! Great coffee with brilliant views and sandwiches. Perfect post-Reigate Hill reward – my dog scored free biscuits, I dodged motorway misery. Pure bliss!

I’ve been coming here for years. The view is incredible. On a clear day you can see the sea. The food’s very good and the service and friendliness is even better! You’re on the North Down Way here. This is dog walking country to be sure. There are multiple walks from level to quite hilly. If you cross over the motorway to Margery Woods, which is lovely, you can connect to what feels like a typical Scottish golf course, Walton Heath. Lots of gorse and heather. Or Banstead Heath. All very pretty, especially in spring. Lots of pasture and horses abound. I did the millennium circuit today. 2.24 miles. I’ve been doing these walks for 30 years now and I never grow tired of it

Far above average café, with an incredible view and surrounding area. Access on foot requires a bit of hiking, but it’s well worth the view, being right next to Reigate Fort, the B-17G crash memorial, the sun dial, and the Royal Alexandra Albert school ponds. The selection of food is wide, though the same cannot be said for the vegan options, the selection remains sufficient. It is great to remember that not all vegan options are shown on the menu, such as the vegan sausage roll, which I recommend after the inevitable hike!
